RIISS00055 - Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set
The Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set (RIISS00055) course provides learners with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for roles in traffic management. Entry Requirements into the Course
There are no prerequisites required to enter this training program for RIISS00055 – Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set.
However, MBC Future Solutions screens learners according to the following criteria:
- Must be 17 years or older
- Have a USI Number (See this link on how to get a USI number)
- Have a Photo ID with at least 100 points (See more information here: Evidence of identity | SafeWork NSW)
- Have a current and valid White Card
- Have own personal protective equipment (PPE) to bring to training and assessment sessions, including:
- Laced up boots (not slip ons)
- Long pants
- Long sleeve shirt
- Wide-brimmed hat
- Sunscreen
- High-visibility shirt/vest
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Must complete MBC Future Solutions’ Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment (LLN)
Prerequisites / Co-requisites:
There are no formal prerequisites required to enter this training program. However, due to industry requirements, learners are required to complete CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry or its successor prior to enrolment.

White Card – General Construction Induction
Candidates are required to obtain a White Card before undertaking traffic control training and courses if the training and assessment will be conducted on a construction site, or if the activities would require the candidates to access or enter operational construction zones.
In order to obtain a White Card, the candidate must achieve a Statement of Attainment of the CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the Construction Industry unit of competency. The White Card has no expiry date but would need re-training if the cardholder has been inactive in the construction industry for two (2) or more years.
